TransGlobal Distributors (TGD) was founded in May of 2009 to provide a cost effective, full service distribution channel for small innovative Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM's). We exclusively represent their products in the European or US markets. In 2010 our product portfolio tripled in size.

New Products in our portfolio include the Da Vinci Europe Liquefied Gas Injector (LGI). The LGI provides a fast, safe, quantitative analysis of high boilers in LPG.

LGI Standardization Update: New ASTM Standard for the LGI in Target Ballot 1/2011
January 1, 2011

Sponsoring Subcommittee: D02.H0
Target Completion Date: 3 - 6 Months 3/08/2011 to 6/08/2011
Proposed Title: Residues in Liquefied Petroleum (LP) Gases by Gas Chromatography with Liquid, On-Column Injection
Proposed Scope: This test method covers the determination, by gas chromatography, of soluble hydrocarbon materials, sometimes called oily residue, which are present in Liquefied (LP) Gases and which are substantially less volatile than the LPG Product. This test method quantifies (in the range of 10 to 150 mg/kg) the residue with a boiling point between 174 °C and 522 °C.
Keywords: contaminants; mineral oil
Rationale: Control over the residue content as specified in D1835 is of considerable importance in end-use applications of LPG. This test method is quicker and much more sensitive than manual methods based on evaporation of large sample volumes followed by visual or gravimetric estimation of residue content.

We will keep you posted on the progress of this new ASTM Standard, understand this new Standard will open many more doors for you customers that are faced with the problem of oily residue in LPG. Contact us for more information.
